Building techniques can change, but wood is always part of the plan. From framing lumber to flooring and roofing components, you’ll find Resolute’s wood products on the job in new home construction and renovations.
Resolute Forest Products is a major producer of lumber and other wood products for the residential-construction and home-renovation markets, as well as for specialized structural and industrial applications.
Our wood products facilities are strategically located and supported by an extensive logistics network that enables us to provide reliable, on-time deliveries to customers across the continent.
We offer a wide variety of lumber grades produced mainly from spruce, pine and fir (SPF). These species, known for their strength and light weight, are exceptional for the production of quality framing lumber. Our annual production capacity of lumber is approximately 2.3 billion board feet.
We also operate two remanufactured wood products facilities that produce bed-frame components, finger joints and furring strips; two joint-venture engineered wood products facilities that produce I-joists for the construction industry; and a wood pellet plant.
100% of the lands we manage are certified to CSA, Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) or Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) responsible forest management standards.
Resolute has implemented fiber tracking systems at all wood products facilities to ensure the wood fiber supply comes from acceptable sources, such as sustainably managed and certified forests and legal harvesting operations.
At several facilities, these systems are third-party certified to recognized chain of custody (CoC) standards.
For details on where our certifications are held, visit the Certification by Operation page.
Trees absorb and store carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. The extended service life of durable lumber and building products manufactured by Resolute prolongs the natural carbon-storing benefits provided by our forests.
