Canada's Top 100 Corporate R&D Spenders
Fifth consecutive Top 100 ranking for Resolute
On November 2, 2015, Resolute was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Corporate R&D Spenders in the annual ranking prepared by Research Infosource Inc. This was the fifth year in a row that Resolute made the listing. In fact, Resolute not only ranked 85th on the Top 100 Corporate R&D Spenders list for 2015, but also came 16th on Canada’s Top 20 Corporate Partners list, thanks to its 89 corporate partnerships over the period from 2010 to 2015.

Health, Safety and Environment Program of the Year
At the Stevie® International Business Awards gala on October 23, 2015, Resolute received a gold Stevie in the health, safety and environment program of the year category. In selecting Resolute for the category’s highest honor, the judges praised the company for having “excellent initiatives as a responsible company with integrity,” a willingness to “walk the talk” and “actions aligned with core values.” The International Business Awards are among the world’s premier business awards, honoring accomplishments in all aspects of work life.

Woman of the Year – North America
Pascale Lagacé is IBA Woman of the Year
Resolute Vice President of Environment and Climate Change Pascale Lagacé was honored with a silver Stevie® in the inaugural woman of the year category at the 12th annual International Business Awards gala held on October 23, 2015. Pascale received the award in recognition of her achievements in sustainability leadership and her strong business sense. The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards, and honor accomplishments in all aspects of work life.
NOBA Awards
Thunder Bay sawmill is judges’ choice
Resolute’s Thunder Bay sawmill team was presented with the Judges’ Choice Award on October 1, 2015, at the 29th annual Northern Ontario Business Awards (NOBA) gala in Thunder Bay. This recognition celebrates both the addition of a wood pellet plant at the sawmill site and the long-standing business relationship the mill has developed with the Fort William First Nation, which owns the land on which Resolute operates. The facility also employs many Aboriginal peoples among its 200 workers.
ARC Awards International
Excellence in Annual Reporting
Resolute earned two bronze awards in October 2015 at the prestigious MerComm Annual Report Competition (ARC): one in the annual report with Form 10-K category and the other in the design/graphics online annual report category. These two awards recognize Resolute’s leadership in developing a combined annual report that includes both financial and sustainability information. MerComm’s Annual Report Competition is a globally recognized international competition honoring outstanding achievement in annual reporting.
